What people learn, and what they believe they can learn, depends on how we design the experience. When learning is designed well, people don't just succeed; they belong. That's where I come in.

I’m Sam Leif, Ph.D. I’m an educator and designer focused on how people build and show expertise in digital environments, and how we make those experiences equitable and effective. My work bridges curriculum design, instructional strategy, and assessment, helping teams create educational spaces where all learners can thrive.

With a background in social work, information science, and education, I approach learning with an emphasis on equity, access, and practical support. I’m especially interested in designing for diversity, not just by meeting standards like a checklist, but by actively removing barriers and centering human needs in both digital and physical spaces.

I collaborate with institutions and organizations to develop thoughtful, scalable solutions - from reworking a course to reimagining how we measure success.
